Academics who gathered in Cebeci Campus of Ankara University for protesting the decrees are not allowed in the university. Police forces attacked and the doors of the campus are closed.

Last night, a new state of emergency decree was issued and 4,464 public servants have been sacked.

Two new emergency decrees are published in the Official Journal of Turkey.

With the most recent emergency decrees, 10,158 civil servants and 1267 academics have been sacked, rectoral elections are abolished and 15 media organs including DİHA and Azadiya Welat are shut down

Human Rights Association of Turkey (IHD) issued a report about the violations of rights that have been committed after the coup attempt on July 15 and during the state of emergency.

Last evening, people protested the state of emergency decree that led the shutting down of more than 20 TV channels and radio stations.

Hayatın Sesi and IMC TV are shut down by a state of emergency decree and today, the buildings of the TV channels have been raided by the police forces. Both channels went off the air. Özgür Radyo is also raided by the police forces. Radio station's terrestrial broadcast is blocked.

After 12 TV channels had been shut down with a decree, Med Nûçe TV also went off the air. The TV channel had been broadcasting to Europe.
