Armenian International Women’s Association (AIWA), on the occasion of 25th anniversary of its foundation, brings Armenian women from different countries together in the US. CHP Istanbul MP Selina Doğan will be a guest of honor.
AIWA organized a series of events on the occasion 25th anniversary of its foundation. The events will be held in Charles Hotel in Cambridge city of the US between September 30 and October 2.
There will be a gala and an award ceremony, where Selina Doğan will give a speech and be granted with “AIWA Leadership Award in Politics and Public Life”.
Also, Houry Gebeshian, the first woman gymnast representing Armenia in Olympic games; Carolyn C. Mugar, the founder of “Armenia Tree Project”; Carolyn Rafaelian, the creative director of “Alex and Ani”; and Katherine Sarafian, producer in Pixar Studios, will give speeches and receive awards.
Historian Lerna Ekmekçioğlu PhD. will also give a speech on “leadership and cultural identity”.
In discussion sessions, Armenian women from around the world will talk about their experiences, the challenges in their fields and the possible solutions.
