Israeli Parliament's (Knesset) Committee of Education, Culture, and Sports recognized the Armenian Genocide and urged the government to recognize the genocide officially.
According
to the report released on parliament's official portal, Committee
Chair Yakov Margi stated, “It is our moral obligation to
recognize the Armenian genocide."
Committee members Nachman Shai (Zionist Union), Don Khenin (Joint List) ve Zouheir Bahloul (Zionist Union) gave speeches supporting the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
On June, Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein had urged Knesset to recognize the Armenian Gencoide officially.
