OSCE Minsk Group, which was formed with the purpose of promoting a peaceful resolution for Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan and meditating between two sides, convened the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
OSCE Minsk Group representatives Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, US Secretary of State John Kerry and French Minister of State for European Affairs Harlem Désir convened Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev in Vienna.
After the meeting organized for planning a peaceful resolution, secretaries of OSCE Minsk Group made a statement emphasizing the importance of respecting the ceasefire agreement signed in 1994.
In the statement, it is also pointed out that an investigating mechanism should be formed within OSCE for preventing the potential acts of violence.
In the meeting, it is decided that information about the people who went missing during the recent clashes will be exchanged under the supervision of Red Cross Committee.
The next OSCE meeting that the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan will attend will be held in June.
