A call to the government by Demirtaş

HDP co-chair Demirtaş urged the government to take action immediately concerning 10 people who were injured while they were going to take the injured people in Cudi.

Stating that a fire opened on a group, including Şırnak MP Faysal Sarıyıldız and the mayor, and injured people are waiting to be rescued in a basement, Demirtaş said, “What is happening in Cizre, Silopi and Sur today is made possible by the support of the ones who are accomplices to this crime. You have to end the major crime that is committed in Cizre now. You cannot open fire on the injured people, you cannot torture them. A group including an MP and the mayor was going to take the injured and they had informed the district government in advance. The situation is bleak. There are 10 people in a basement who are bleeding to death now. We are informed that the fire is ceased for now, but the ambulance are not taking them.”

Saying that he spoke to Faysal Sarıyıldız on the phone, Demirtaş added: “Our friends spoke to Efkan Ala and he said that he will take action, but nothing happened. If someone dies in that basement, the minister of interior and the prime minister are the ones to blame.”
