Attack to Christians on the way to church leaves 23 dead
In Egyptian capital Cairo, gunmen attacked Christians driving to the church, killing 23 and wounding 25.
Christian heritage under the ground waits to be explored
Ali Yamaş and Bülent Erdem are engaged in caving. They have a cave research group called “Obruk” (sink-hole). We wanted to talk to two experienced cavers about the works in this field. However, we found ourselves talking about the underground cities in Turkey. They say that there are many underground cities that were built by Christian peoples especially between 6th and 11th centuries.
The church to be turned into a library in Kayseri
The renovation work in Surp Asdvadzadzin Church, which had been used as sports facility for about 40 years, is started. The church will serve as a library.
Ministry's statement: the churches in Sur won't be closed down
Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning stated that the churches in Sur province of Diyarbakir will be restored in accordance with their original condition and they are not considering using those buildings for any other purpose.
Church attacks in Trabzon and Malatya
Last night, some people protesting the attempted coup attacked St. Mary Catholic Church in Trabzon and Protestant Church in Malatya with stones and hammers. They tried to enter the churches.

According to indictment about Ankara Massacre, the suicide bomber Yunus Durmaz recorded all churches in Turkey and blacklisted tens of Alive villages and cultural centers.
AINA: ISIS destroyed 16 churches in Syria
Assyrian International News Agency (AINA) released a list of churches in Syria which were destroyed by ISIS and other radical Islamist groups. In the list, there are 3 Armenian churches.

Last night an arson attack took place on the Aya Triada Church in Kadıköy.
Attack on Samsun Agape Church left unpunished
An attack was carried out on the Samsun Agape Church by a man wielding a stick, who reportedly went on to insult church staff. However, the police did not bring charges against the attacker.
Suspect confusion at Kadıköy Church arson case
Arson, not an accident, was the cause of the fire that broke out on the night of December 7, Sunday, at the building that is home to KKBD (Holy Bible Society) and KUT (Kadıköy International Community Church). According to Pam Ohanyan of KUT, thousands of Holy Books and CDs were destroyed in the fire that broke out on the floor where the library of the church was also located.
