HDP co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ and HDP MPs Ferhat Encü, Selma Irmak, Abdullah Zeydan, İdris Baluken, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Ziya Pir, Nursel Aydoğan and Gülser Yıldırım have been detained in operations around midnight.

HDP appeals to ECHR concerning the lifting of the parliamentary immunity, since the internal authorities to be appealed are exhausted.

The hunger strike of 50 politicians, that HDP, DBP, DTK, KJA and HDK planned for initiating “meetings with Öcalan in a legal way" started yesterday in Diyarbakir.

Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued an indictment against HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş and Ankara MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder charging “making propaganda for terrorist organization”. 5 years of imprisonment requested for two politicians.

Erdoğan's lawyer Hüseyin Aydın announced that the lawsuits against HDP won't be withdrawn.

HDP Istanbul MP Garo Paylan assessed the voting that clears the way for lifting the parliamentary immunity. Saying that he considers CHP's attitude as “falling prey to AKP”, Paylan said: “In order to defend our supporters' will, we won't go to the courts which this oppressive law commands us to go.”

Turkish parliament approved the immunity bill by 374 votes in favor. The bill will become effective after President Erdoğan's approval.

Today, the constitutional amendment bill prepared for lifting the parliamentary immunity of the lawmakers who have outstanding dossiers against them, which caused quarrels during the committee meeting, will be brought to the agenda of the general assembly of the parliament.
