First published in 1940 and making William Saroyan globally renowned, “My Name is Aram” republished in Turkish by Aras Publishing.

Linguist and writer Sevan Nishanian is awarded with William Saroyan Medal by Armenian Ministry of Diaspora.

A new library in Bitlis will be named after William Saroyan. Journalist Ahmet Tulgar, who came up with the idea, reports that he met with Bitlis Co-Mayor Hüseyin Olan and discussed the idea for a library.
