Attending the Lent dinner organized by AKP Şişli District Organization, Deputy Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak talked about the patriarchal election.
On
March 28, AKP Şişli District Organization gave a dinner for
Christian society foundations and clerics on the occasion of the
Lent. Archbishop Aram Ateşyan, Chief Rabbi of Turkey Isak
Haleva, Representative of Minority (Community) Foundations and
Council Member of the Directorate General of Foundations Toros Alcan,
Bishop Sahak Maşalyan were also present at the dinner.
Deputy
Prime Minister Veysi Kaynak, after emphasizing the importance of
coexistence, mentioned the referendum that will be held on April 16
and mostly talked about the constitutional amendments.
Journalists
wanted to ask some questions to Kaynak, but he answered only one
question, because he had another appointment. The process of
patriarchal election after the memo from the governor's office was
asked. In response to this question, Kaynak said: “MPs Garo Paylan,
Selina Doğan and Markar Esayan called me and I told them the same
thing. We can easily find a common ground. Just excuse us until April
16.”
