Co-Mayors of Diyarbakir Gültan Kışanak and Fırat Anlı have been arrested by the court on duty. Former BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) MP Aylin Akat Ata, who protested the detention of co-mayors, is also arrested.

5 days ago, as part of the investigation carried out by Diyarbakir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Gültan Kışanak was detained on charge of “being a member of a terrorist organization” and Fırat Anlı was detained on charge of “attempting to separate a region under the state sovereignty from the administration of the state".
As part of this investigation, former BDP MP Ayla Akat Ata is also arrested.
Ata was detained during the protests against the detention of the co-mayors in front of the municipality building.
Former Chair of Diyarbakir Bar Association and the lawyer of Kışanak and Anlı made a statement. He stated that Kışanak and Anlı are arrested on charge of “being a member of a terrorist organization” and it was decided to which prison they will be sent before they are arrested: “We are not given information where our clients will be sent. As far as we found out, it was decided to which prison they will be sent before they are arrested.”
