As part of
Hrant Dink murder investigation, Ergün Yorulmaz,
who was working in Trabzon Gendarmerie Intelligence Branch at the
time of murder, is arrested. Moreover, Ali Öz, who was Trabzon
Provincial Gendarmerie Regiment Commander at the time of murder, and
Adnan Acar and Musa Yıldırım, who were also working in Trabzon
Gendarmerie Intelligence Branch, are detained.
The interrogation of 25 suspects continues in Istanbul Anti-Terror Branch. The number of detained suspects has risen to 28 with the detention of 3 more personnel from Trabzon Gendarmerie, including Ali Öz.
The hearings started today
The trial of the public officials, who allegedly have a hand in Dink murder, started today and will continue on August 9, 11 and 12. After the coup attempt, lawyers of some suspects have withdrawn from the case.
