Conviction for “black wreath”
People who put black wreath in front of Agos and released threat messages are convicted for threat and public insult on the basis of difference of race and religion.
The threat against Agos goes unpunished
In the case of the threat against Agos, Nationalist Turkish Party Istanbul Chair Bilal Gökçeyurt and the chair of so-called Turan Organization Ercan Uçar have been acquitted. Agos' lawyer Hakan Bakırcıoğlu objected to the ruling.
The case on"black wreath to Agos" started
The trial of two groups that brought black wreaths to Agos on April 24, 2015 was started. The case was opened upon the complaint of Agos. The suspects stood trial on the ground that they threatened the newspaper.
