HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş spoke about the lifting of the parliamentary immunity: “They will try to bring some of our MPs to the court, which became AKP's law committee, and lynch them. Do they think that we will keep silent? We won't let you to prosecute us in the courts that are dependent on you. None of our friends will go to police, prosecutor or court, when they are called to give statement.”
Speaking at HDP group meeting, HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş defined the parliamentary proposal that is accepted by the votes of CHP, MHP and AKP as “the law for dissolving HDP”. Stating that no HDP member will go to give statement, Demirtaş said: “Not the parties, but people form the parliament. People can form more than one parliament, if they want. This is the way they are. AKP will fail. The Palace will fail, that's for sure. We are the ones who will triumph at the end.”
Demirtaş spoke about other issues at hand, as well as the parliamentary immunity proposal, which some people call “coup d'etat proposal”. Here are the highlights of Demirtaş's speech at the group meeting.
The prosecutor couldn't find evidence against Sarıyıldız
They said, “MPs carried guns in their cars; so, we will lift the parliamentary immunity.” They started with this lie. I don't want to read the summary of proceedings at length. However, it turned out that there is no evidence showing that Faysal Sarıyıldız carried arms or ammunition in his car. I assume this happened like this: the police forces found a gun somewhere and they tried to pin this on Sarıyıldız. However, their conspiracy wasn't planned very wisely; Sarıyıldız's car was kilometers away from the place where they found the arms. In the end, the prosecutor wrote the summary: “It is clear that Sarıyıldız didn't put guns in his car, but his immunity should be lifted...” This is the result.
This is not about immunity, it is about the dissolution of HDP
They say that they won't give up till the end. You see, members of this group spent their lives in prison. Yesterday, they congratulated each other like they achieved something. If we weren't afraid of what would happen, we would have voted yes and speed up the process. We have conscience, we have morals, we made promises to our people.
The committee process is ended; now, it is General Assembly's turn. You outnumber us. If you have the guts, you could lift the parliamentary immunity. This is not about immunity, it is about the dissolution of HDP. Our proposal is more radical than yours. We propose to lift all the immunities, except from chair immunity.

We will teach you this. The prime minister doesn't have any will left; the one in the palace crushed you and you cannot dare to come to the parliament.
Not the parties, but the people form the parliament
The parliament is the will of people. We will defend it. However, if our friends are arrested and they are stripped off from their membership of the parliament, then there wouldn't be any option that we cannot discuss. Not the parties, but people form the parliament. People can form more than one parliament, if they want. This is the way they are. AKP will fail. The Palace will fail, that's for sure. We are the ones who will triumph at the end.
